Energize Your Life with high vibe food and lifestyle choices that truly can change your life for the better in every way.
In my recent best-selling book, Stressless Success: The Surprising Secrets to a Life of Passion, Purpose, and Prosperity, I explain all of the research behind the fact that everything is energy. This is especially important right now as so many of us have reason for concern – including me. I’ve had days where I find myself shaking my head in disbelief and allowing the worry and fear to start creeping in. That feeling of uncertainty as to what is going to happen and how long it is all going to take to get resolved is uncomfortable.
It is important to be aware of these uncomfortable thoughts and feelings and utilize the tools that I share with you to get back on your path to an energized and fulfilled life. The power is within you to create a better life and if you stick with me during these next few articles and videos, you will become crystal clear on all that you need to do to create a life of energy, vitality, confidence, and joy, like never before.

Do you want to construct a life that is propped up on toothpicks or do you want to create the strength and power that will sustain you through good times and challenging times?
Now is the perfect time to learn and incorporate these ideas so that you may benefit from them throughout the rest of your life.
Part I – Physical and Mental Energy – The True Foundation for a Successful Life
How do you feel right now?
What is one thing that you could start doing to have more energy every day and throughout the day?
What is stopping you?
And I’m not talking about the need for more coffee and sugar-laden energy drinks. Yes, these may provide some short-term energy but they will only prop you up on toothpicks that are eventually going to cause you to crash. Instead, let’s build a solid foundation that supports you for the long-term.
Let’s look at the basics.
In order to feel energized, you must feel rested, be hydrated, have plenty of high-quality nutrients in your body, and plenty of oxygen in your lungs that are all being transported to your cells through great blood circulation. So, you need Rest, Hydration, Nutrients, Oxygen, and Movement to increase blood flow.
- Sleep – Please for the thousandth time, get more high-quality rest. This is not just for rest and rejuvenation but this is when your body detoxifies, heals, balances hormones, and when your immune system is strengthened and better able to fight disease; including issues like the coronavirus. Also, how can you deal with life challenges when you are exhausted? You can’t.
- Hydration – Please consume plenty of filtered or spring water. Every cell of your brain and body is at least 70% water. Your cells and your organs, especially your detoxification organs, can’t work properly if you are dehydrated. When you are feeling low on energy, before grabbing that next gulp of caffeine, grab a glass of water first and see how you feel. I recommend starting your day with a liter of water (about 32 ounces) and consuming at least 3 liters per day, mostly between meals.
- Nutrients – Learn to eat high energy foods. Energizing foods include foods that are high in antioxidants and nutrients, are high in fiber, healthy fats, and protein. Avoid energy depleting foods such as white sugar and processed foods like white flour. Eat real whole foods grown the way Mother Nature intended.
For delicious sustainable energy, I love to eat a diet rich with colorful whole plant foods such as fruits, like berries for high energy. I love to eat green leafy veggies for iron and calcium and energy-producing chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll is a green molecule found in plants that absorbs sunlight during photosynthesis and converts it to energy. Researchers have called these biophotons because it is the energy you get from the sun.
I love to eat healthy fats and protein from nuts and seeds, beans, and peas. These foods are also rich in magnesium that helps your cells make energy.
Another high energy food that is also rich in magnesium is cocoa or raw cacao. The fact that this also boosts my mood is an important added benefit. Check out my recipe book, Fabulous Recipes for Vibrant Health, for truly decadent yet healthy chocolate desserts that have zero simple sugar, processed flour, or bad fats. Yes, desserts can actually be good for you when you do them the Janet McKee way. Enjoying one of my desserts is an important ingredient to a healthy, happy, energized high-vibe life.
I do like a few whole grains for energy to feel satiated like quinoa, which is actually a high protein seed, and brown or wild rice.
Other colorful plant foods like sweet potatoes and winter squash are highly energizing, too – and incredibly delicious.
I also love to include some superfoods in my diet such as spirulina and chlorella. The issue with these is that they are strange tasting, so it is best to take these in supplement form as powders or tablets. These are extremely nutrient-dense as both are very high in protein, magnesium, zinc, potassium, B vitamins, are rich with antioxidants and even have been known to help improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels and balance blood sugar.

- Movement – And finally, you must move your body and breath fresh air. This is critical to get your blood flowing to transport the water, powerful nutrients, and oxygen to every cell of your body.
I love to start and end my day with some sort of exercise. What I’ve learned, however, is that in order to stay energized throughout my day and even end my workday more energized than when it began, re-energizing throughout the day is key. To re-energize you’ve got to get hydrated, move your body, breathe deeply, and clear your mind. Do anything that you love such as pushups, jumping jacks, take a walk outside, sing and dance, visit your garden, or anything you can think of to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing.
I’ve been asked again to share my little energizing routine. Let’s go into my family room so that I can show you how (check out the video).
Mindset is key as it is the thoughts that you choose that affect how you feel emotionally, which affects the energy that you generate. Stay tuned next week as we dig deep into the incredible discoveries that I will share with you.
Take everything you’ve ever heard about positive thinking and mindset and set that all aside. I am going to share with you a discovery that is far more effective and one that you can begin to put to use immediately.
